2022 is over, and we celebrate a brand-new year! With a little creative thinking, your church's New Year celebration can become an anticipated time of outreach, fellowship, and worship. Here are some ideas:
1. Start the year with a Facebook/Instagram post inviting the members and visitors to comment about all the good things that have happened in 2022. They will be able to read and reflect on all the blessings and keep things into perspective.
2. Lots of people have new year's goals and plans, but 90% of them don't succeed in completing them. So why not offer them an opportunity to start and finish strong? Plan a "Starting Strong" online seminar in your church, invite the community, and teach them to make reasonable and achievable plans, follow through, and be successful at the end.
3. Have a special night of worship, testimonies, special guests, and prayer. Release some exciting news for the upcoming year and deliver a message of hope.
4. Engage your Adventurers and Pathfinders on a prayer mission for the neighborhood. Have them inviting their families to participate and pray specifically for the people in your community.
5. Involve your members in a "Midnight Vigil". Prepare some songs, testimonies, a good message. Invite friends from the neighborhood to attend and have a special prayer for the new year and all their plans and goals.
